Maranatha Village Chef prepares a special meal each day. It is served to the residents of Long-Term Care, Assisted Living, and Premier Rehab. The meal is also available to Independent Living residents who choose to eat at the Community Center dining hall. Then, some prefer to have the meal delivered to their residence. Currently 41 meals are delivered daily by MV employee Evelyn Brock.

A good chef, preparing good food at a reasonable price, is certainly a key to a happy community.

Fresh air! Beautiful flowers! Great friends! The perfect setting for happy chatter and pure joy!

Spud and Julie DeMent join their neighbors, Gerald and Gerri Jackson, for some fun and fellowship. Smiles and positive conversation lift their spirits. The day is brighter and the goodness of the Lord evident.

Maranatha Village residents attended their first Town Hall meeting since the COVID-19 restrictions were lifted. Smiles and happy chatter created a cheerful atmosphere for an encouraging update. It was great to be TOGETHER AGAIN!   

Chaplain Shawn Oberg served as Grill Master for Maranatha Village’s annual indoor summer picnic. Fifty MV residents attended, enjoying a good meal and good fellowship. A sense of normalcy prevailed in the wake of the COVID pandemic. The flow of regular activities has begun, and is so refreshing!

Stu Hulsebus, and his wife Lou, traveled for several years as volunteers participating in church building projects. Then, they moved to Maranatha Village and Stu brought his tools with him—now neatly arranged along the walls of their garage.

Stu loves his workshop and continues to create wood products that are a blessing to others. One need not “leave it all behind” when retiring at Maranatha Village!

Maranatha Village’s new Chief Executive Officer Brian Miller, and his wife, Beth, were received by Village residents on Thursday, June 17, 2021. Miller will assume his responsibilities July 1, 2021.

Miller is a graduate of Evangel University, Springfield, Missouri and has served as an administrator of retirement communities most of his professional career. His passion for the Lord, his profession, and Assemblies of God values that make Maranatha Village special, are apparent.

New buildings are beautiful, trendy, and in the very best condition. Yet, with age every facility will show some wear and tear. They all need “Tender Loving Care (TLC)” to maintain their pristine appearance and functionality.

Maranatha Village’s maintenance team has heart and skills, enabling them to maintain and update all campus facilities. Indoors, it may be installing a new microwave. Outdoors, it may be putting on a new roof. Their efforts enhance the beauty of the Village and stimulate civic pride.
